  • Silke Scheiber, ex-KKR, to chair Asterion Industrial’s Portfolio Management Committee
  • Diverse team of 20 professionals with long track record of working together and strong industrial & transactional backgrounds

Madrid, May 8th, 2020 – Asterion Industrial Partners, an independent investment management firm focused on European infrastructure in the mid-market, is delighted to announce the appointment of Silke Scheiber as Head of the Portfolio Management Committee.

The Portfolio Management Committee provides dedicated portfolio monitoring, strengthening Asterion’s active asset management and industrial focused strategy. With the growth in the size of the portfolio, which today already includes six investments, the long-term management of the portfolio and its performance is highly relevant, warranting the addition of further senior resource and oversight. In line with Asterion’s approach and focus on value creation, Ms. Scheiber will reinforce the firm’s top management with 24 years of investment and asset management experience, of which 7 years of overlapping experience with Asterion’s founding partners.

Ms. Scheiber was formerly part of KKR’s European Private Equity Team in London, where she spent 16 years. During her tenure, she was the first female Partner appointment in Europe and the second globally and also served as the Head of the European Industrials Team. Across various economic cycles and a diverse range of end markets, Ms. Scheiber has led and overseen several investments where industrial value creation was at the core.  Prior to joining KKR, she started her career with Goldman Sachs in Frankfurt. Ms. Scheiber has served as an independent board member of several listed and unlisted companies, in addition to her extensive board experience during her time at KKR. She holds an MBA from University of St. Gallen and a Master of Community of European Business Schools (CEMS) from École des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC), Paris.

Asterion Industrial’s founding partners commented on this new addition to the team: “We feel very proud and honored to have Silke as part of the senior management of Asterion. She will add very relevant asset management skills to the team and enrich our industrial value creation approach”.

This new addition completes a team of 20 professionals defined by its combination of industrial and transactional experience, a long track record of working together and strong diversity and cultural alignment.
